FOOD AS MEDICINE food is the cornerstone of health, as the father of medicine said, "Let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food." - Hippocrates 400 BC Fun fact: 80% of your bodies composition is due to what you eat. SLEEP LIKE ITS YOUR JOB The majority of our bodies regeneration and healing occurs during our sleep. Our parasympathetic nervous system is in full swing repairing tissue during these hours. Our brains are sorting out the days experiences, turning some into long term memory. Fun fact: every hour of sleep before midnight is like two hours after midnight (due to circadian rhythm). MOVE PRIMALLY Our bodies are designed for strength and movement. We can look to our hunter-gatherer ancestors to see how fit and agile they were. Fun fact: humans can out run horses because we have a better, more efficient aerobic system! CULTIVATE AN AWESOME MINDSET How we view ourselves and our surroundings can often predict our future. We create our environment through our judgments and responsiveness to ourselves and surroundings. Fun fact: studies have shown that when we smile we achieve better outcomes, the fake-it till you make it idea. Thanks for being here!
