Question:
How do you eat an elephant? Answer: One bite at a time! Okay, so that was kinda funny right? Just a little bit? Maybe? So, I think we've all been in this place before, I know I have, and perhaps some of us are still in this spot. You know, the place where you know what to do but just don't do it for some reason. And there is a reason but we may never really know why. And I don't think that that is the most important thing, worrying about why and endlessly questioning yourself. We often make commitments with ourselves and often fail to keep them. It's common. Sometimes our commitments are unreasonable. Sometimes too big. Sometimes we expect quick fixes. That's where a health coach can be very effective. We can often keep commitments that we give to others, because somehow there is more accountability. Sometimes we want a lot way too quickly, after all, most of us didn't get in the shape or condition we are in overnight, it took years! So why expect an overnight fix? A health coach can help you identify little achievable goals and encourage you along the way. Baby steps. You knock one down................................... then another.......................................... then another.......................................... All the while gaining confidence that yes indeed you can do this, you can achieve your goals. and then voila You've eaten the elephant one bite at a time!
